
Dorayaki features a combination of a sweet flavored and moist dough and the sweetness of Anko.
Dora-yaki’s “Dora” comes from the musical instrument “gong”.
Because the shape and color look like a gong.
Yaki means to fry.
There is a long hit animation “Doraemon” in Japan.
The main character, Doraemon loves Dorayaki best.
Dorayaki is loved by Japanese as same as Doraemon is loved by all generations for a long time.
We’ll make dorayaki dough from scratch, and fry dough, then sandwiches Anko with dough.
You can add some toppings such as ice cream and strawberry and so on if you want.
After making dorayaki, you’ll learn how to brew Japanese tea “Sencha” deliciously.

3) Pan-fry Dorayaki dough

Needed ingredient & equipment
Dorayaki
Flour (All-purpose or cake flour), Egg, Water, Baking soda, sugar, natural honey, Mirin, Some toppings, vegetable oil, Can of sweet beans
Japanese tea
Sencha or Gyokuro
Bowl, Hand Mixier, Whisk, Scale, Tablespoon, small cup, Powder sieve (Strainer is OK), Frying pan, kitchen paper, Ladle, Spatula, Towel, Tea server, Teacup
